Is India really independent?? The literal meaning of the word 'independence' is Autonomy or freedom. Indian women, can they walk safely down the street at night without fear of being followed or grabbed. 

Forget about those cruel anti-socials for a while. Come to our conservative families. Today, an Indian girl is not allowed for doing Love marriage in her own choice. However, she has been brutally tortured both mentally and physically by her family members.

Her freedom has been constrained with conditions. Why so? Is it only enough to be a constitutionally independent country? She should be raised to be an independent woman and not the victim of anything. On the eve of Independence Day, let us fight against those issues that don’t make our women independent.
